Manchester Art Association members and other area artists and craftspeople will hold an outdoor arts and crafts sale on Saturday, October 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Liberty Candle, 263 Boston Turnpike, Bolton (about a mile past Shady Glen on the right, going toward Bolton.) 

The show will include framed paintings, unframed paintings hung on a clothesline, craft items and other attractions.  There is no admission charge and the public is welcome to see the show and meet the artists.  Rain will cancel the event.

An opening reception for the First Annual Hockanum Art Exhibit will be held in the lobby of the Manchester Town Hall, 41 Center Street, Manchester, on Friday, January 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.. 

"The Beauty of Nature" is the theme of the show, which was proposed by Hockanum River Watershed Association (HRWA) Chairman, Doug Smith, when he came upon members of the Manchester Art Association (MAA) painting plein air along the river. 

The paintings and photographs in the show will be for sale, and subjects include open spaces, river views, wildlife, and birds.  The exhibit will be open to the public weekdays from January 27 through February 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except on holidays.  Both the reception and exhibit are open to the public at no charge.
