Alcohol Ink
A one-day workshop with Sharon Quaglia

Cost: $75/per person (Limited to 12 people)
No previous experience needed.
This class will give students the opportunity to explore, play and learn about the properties,
advantages and limitations of alcohol inks. Using a variety of mark-making tools, they will practice controlling the medium to create lovely backgrounds, landscape elements, and flowers using different techniques. The class may come away with finished paintings, works in progress, artist trading cards and a working knowledge of alcohol inks

Artist Bio:
Sharon Coolbaugh Quaglia is a self-taught artist working primarily in alcohol inks.
Formerly a baker, sugar artist, and cake decorating instructor, since mid-2020 she has marveled at the unpredictable nature, vibrancy and transparency of alcohol ink pigments.
Using a spontaneous, intuitive approach with techniques not commonly used with alcohol
inks, Sharon creates unique effects in florals, still lifes, landscapes and abstract paintings.
Sharon has shown her work at Arts Center East in Vernon, Blank Canvas, WORK_SPACE in Manchester, the Tiny Gallery in Manchester, as well as at MAA exhibits.
